Handmade Gate Fold Greeting Card for Valentines Day

I made a gate fold valentine card this week. The size is 4.5" X 6.5". The base of the card is white card stock layered with black card stock and pattern papers.

Inside the card, I added a hand written sentiment and embellished with punched hearts. 

The hearts are punched out using a Martha Stewart lace scalloped heart punch. The pattern papers have a glitter accent which brings a glossy effect to the card. I used Linen Closet papers from DCWV and a Colorbok paper.

When the card is turned up, you can see a pocket inside to hold the photo.

With a 4" x 6" photo 

The gate fold card has a simple band to hold the card closed. I embellished it with pearls and used a white gel pen to give a faux stitch effect.

 Here is the layout,

Basic layout : Take a 6.50" X 9" card stock. Score at 2.25" and 6.75 " and crease the fold.

Handmade "Friendship Day" Card

This is a simple sketch from Mojo Monday. For this project I used hand cut and hand drawn image colored with color pencil. Pattern paper is linen closet from DCWV. I added sentiment using  white gel pen. Flowers are punched out using EK flower punch.

Handmade "Smile" Greeting Card

Smile Card

This is a 5" x 5" Smile Card. The papers are La Creme mat Stack from DCWV layered with black cardstock. The smile sentiment is from studio G. I stamped the sentiment on creme paper.

Flower is punched from EK Success Slim Paper Punch and decorated with the metallic gel pen.

Stephen Hawking was born on Jan 08, 1942. He is regarded as one of the most brilliant physicists since Albert Einstein. 

Hawking is famous for his research on black holes (“Hawking radiation”). He believes in the existence of aliens. He is the author of the popular book “The Brief History of Time” and is considered to be one of the most famous theoretical physicists and cosmologists. 

Happy Birthday Stephen Hawking and wishing you many more years of happy and healthy life.

Handmade Love You / Valentine Card

I used a black cardstock as the base. Pattern papers are from colorbok. To embellish the card i have used a handmade rosette and white ribbon. Sentiments are hand written.

Follow your dream Greeting Card

Card size is 5" x 5". I bought the pattern paper from Target . Stamped image is from Inkadinkado. To embellish the card i added a purple ribbon from studio g  and decorated the image using red stones and brown ribbon. Sentiment was already there in the pattern paper.

CAS Every day / LaCreme mat Card

This was a simple and quick card. The papers are from DCWV LaCreme mat stack. I used copper color beads to decorate the card. At the bottom, I used a glitter glue to draw a border line.
I added the sentiment using metallic gel pen.

Hershey / Candy Bar Slider Card

Hershey slider card

This is a candy bar slider card i.e when you pull a ribbon, the candy bar slides out from the wrapper. There are lots of versions available on the web, but I found this one from Youtube.
