Chana Masala


chickpeas / garbanzo  curry

Ingredients:

Chickpeas / Garbanzo - 2 cups (cooked)
Cumin seeds - 1 1tsp
Asafetida - pinch
Besan - 1 tbs
Tomato puree - 1 cup
Chilli powder - 1tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Oil - 2 tbs
Salt to taste

Method:

  • Wash and soak the garbanzo overnight and pressure cook it with salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Crack cumin seeds and add asafetida.
  • Add the besan and stir fry it for a minute.
  • Add the tomato puree. Stir and cook till oil seperates.
  • Now add  turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder. saute it for a minute.
  • Add  a cup of water and salt.
  • Add the cooked chana and cook for about 15 minutes on a low flame or untill the gravy thickens.
  • Add garam masala. Stir it for a minute.
  • Chana masala is now ready to serve with  chapathi, naan, poori, rice etc.

Handmade Clean and Simple (CAS) Make a Wish Greeting Card


Handmade  black and white greeting card

I made a CAS card this week. The finished size of the card is 5" X 5". I stamped the sentiment on white card stock using StudioG clear stamp, then backed it with a black card stock. Added a rhinestone flourish and metallic cord to embellish the card.

Handmade You're Special Greeting Card

This is a 5" square card. The Designer papers are from Colorbok, layered with black card stock. Daisy flowers were punched using EK Daisy Punch and decorated with white gel pen. The sentiment is stamped on white card stock using Inkadinkado clear stamp, then backed it with a black card stock.

I have used a Digi flower image from Birds Card. I colored the image using color pencil and added silver glitter glue on itI punched the Flower using EK Success Slim Paper Punch and  added a metal dot at the center.
