Handmade Holiday Greeting Card using Distress Ink

cardmaking ideas
Hello Friends!! Wishing you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

I have a Holiday Card to share with you all today. First, I created the background with Broken China and Black Soot distress inks. I masked the center portion and stamped the snowflake.  I then removed the masking tape and stamped the sentiment.

The Snowflake image is from Unity Stamp and the sentiment is from Studio G stamps. Finally added the dots using liquid Pearls and mounted it on a black card stock. I hope you like my card today.

Distress Ink Background using Masking and Sponging technique

create a background using distress ink

Hi all! I have used masking and sponging technique to create this card. First, I created a mask for the top and bottom using Washi tape and sponged the rest using Peacock Feathers and Peeled Paint distress inks. I then stamped the butterfly image and sentiment on the colored panel. Both the butterflies and sentiment are "Direction of  Happy" stamp set from Unity Stamps.

I then removed the masks and scored three lines above and below the sponged area and mounted it on a black card stock. Finally, I added some liquid pearls and rhinestones. Hope you like it.

My special thanks to Berina (Moxie Craftie) for the wonderful Stamp Set.

Thanks for dropping by.
