Christmas Card and Handmade Poinsettia Paper Flower Tutorial

handmade christmas card

Hi All! Here is a Christmas card I created some days back. I started out with a white card base and layered it with red card stock. Next, I partially embossed the white card stock  using Swiss Dot embossing folder and adhered the ribbon around the panel and layered on to the red card stock.

I topped it with handmade poinsettia flowers and leaves. Leaves were punched out using Punch-Bunch punch. Then I stamped the sentiment using StudioG Stamps and finally added the rhinestones to embellish the card.

  40. Wow! Thats awesome! Both your flowers and the tute :) I recently purchased this whole embossing tool set and really was very upset, as I didn't know where to start! Your tute has given me a good kick back :) But I don't have the retro flower punch. May be I'll try with my other flower punch :) Thank you :) And a Happy New Year to you :)

  45. Thanks for becoming my newest (and 300th!) follower! I just became YOUR newest follower (right after my friend Kitty!). I loved this card. The partial emboss with one of my fav EF's, is so elegant with the lovely poinsettia and leaves. TFS that super tutorial...your flowers made beautiful poinsettias. I have that McGill flower emboss set, and use it, but my flowers _never_ turn out so lovely as what you've got on your pretty card. TFS a super post.
